Everything is Amazing, and Nobody is Happy?

November 29, 2009 Leave a comment

I saw this video this afternoon, and wow, does it ever get to the point.  Especially spending time reflecting on things people are thankful for recently with Thanksgiving, this is a great video to watch.

Let’s try not to take everything for granted, and actually be a little thankful, and a little less entitled.

Black Friday Madness? I think not…

All the people that are out and about yesterday and through this weekend are looking for the next ‘hot gift’ to give.  People are chasing sales, and fleeting trends trying to find a gift.  Well if guys are looking to get the ladies a timeless gift that doesn’t have to worry about trends or anything like that, check out H&H Jewelry Design in Grand Ledge.  They can help the ladies fill out their wish list of jewelry that they would like to see, and then the guys come in and just pick of their lady’s list.  It’s that simple.  Or you can go in together and design a perfect ring, or whatever else you have in mind.

The two owners have both been goldsmiths for 25-30 years and I’ve seen the on site shop where they do repairs before.  It’s impressive.  You name a jeweler’s tool, and i bet you it’s back there.  Plus, once you buy some nice diamond ring, you can always trust them to reset the diamond if you ever knocked it loose, or just clean up the ring and have it looking like new for special events etc.  Check them out!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have plenty to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I am thankful for alot of things in my life.  My health, my career, my family, my friends, the fact that I have a roof over my head, and plenty to eat, etc etc. etc.  The one thing I am most thankful for though, is my faith.  When any other part of life is out of whack, or out of sync, my faith is the one constant that I can turn to and know it hasn’t changed.   It’s like the speed of light.  It is the Constant in my life.

So, my referral (if you can call it that) for today is just to say that Riverview Church in Holt, MI is awesome.  Whether you are a Christian, or just someone who wants to explore and see what the whole Jesus thing is about, come visit.  You will get to have a cup of coffee, and hear some great music, and some very edutainspiring (educating, entertaining, inspiring) pastors will speak from their hearts, and more importantly from The Bible.  It’s a great place, a great community of people, and some of the most generous, hard working, loving people I’ve ever met.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!  May you have many parts of your life to be extremely thankful for!

Adjusting to a Healthier Life

Today I am looking forward to getting adjusted tomorrow. So today’s referral is going to be Dr. Sylvester and Dr. Beth at HealthZone Chiropractic in Haslett. They are great! I really do enjoy whenever I am in their office to get adjusted. They both love the work they do, and truely care for their paitents. I would gladly recommend that even if you’ve never given chiropractic a try before that you checkthem out. They will educate you until you feel like you should be awarded a D.C. If you want them to. They are great people, and on top of that you get all the health benefits from being adjusted.

Happy Monday Everyone! Hopefull you are in the start of a productive AND short week, before a filling day of being thankful. My Monday has been way too full, so you are getting this update a little late…Sorry!

My Referral for today is Hart-Davidson Design. Located in Holt MI, Hart-Davidson Designs will help you decide what to do with any home design project. It could be as big and complicated as a huge funky commercial space with themes and variations, or as simple as deciding what color should you paint the spare bedroom.

The best part about their process is that You (yes you) actually get a say in how things will turn out! They work WITH you to design your space. They don’t just swoop in, take over, and leave, with you in the background looking sad and lost.

They can be found online at Hart-Davidson Designs

Leslie (the owner) is also very passionate about educating people about design and freely sharing her expertise through community seminars, and educational talks at home shows. Be sure to look (on their web page) where they are heading next!

They are great and they are my referral for today! Go forth and design!

Today I want to spotlight one of the most driven, focused, young, business owners I have ever met:  Reid Lambright, Owner of Lambright Flooring.   As the 3rd generation of his family to run this business, he is taking the family’s small flooring company to new heights.Lambright Flooring

I have seen their work, and I have had reid help my family as well, and his crews (not sub-contractors) know what they are doing.  They are super professional, respectful, and deliver a quality experience for anyone who has them in their home or business.  I assure you that you will feel the same way once they work for you. is where to check them out on the web.
